Centamin – Reports, Reviews and Results

Centamin: Reports, Reviews and Results

Digby Wells has worked with Centamin since 2017 to improve and align its annual Sustainability report with the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards.

We have worked with the Centamin team to produce reports which explain to shareholders, ESG ratings agencies and other stakeholders how the company manages its  environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities. The reports also tell Centamin’s own sustainability story.

Ensuring your licencing and permitting requirements

Ensuring your licencing and permitting requirements

The Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries has published Directions to curtail the threat posed by the COVID 19 Pandemic whilst still providing the relevant environmental permit and licensing services and to ensure that fair licencing and public participation processes prevail while the state of disaster remains in force.

Our Team of Environmental and Legal Professionals can assist with your permitting and licence requirements with regards to pre-application meetings, site visits, public participation, ensuring reports are available for comment, submission of reports, notifying I&AP’s, conducting specialist studies etc.

Easing the Care and Maintenance Application Process

Easing the Care and Maintenance Application Process

Necessitated to place your mining operation under Care and Maintenance?

The submission of a Care and Maintenance Plan is a prerequisite of a Care and Maintenance Application under the Financial Provisioning Regulations, 2015 (GN R1147 of 20 November 2015), as amended.

The Care and Maintenance Plan replaces your Environmental Management Programme for the duration that the mine is placed under Care and Maintenance. It’s worth making sure that this plan reflects reality and protects you from incurring additional financial liabilities while placed under Care and Maintenance.
